This is where we really shine - amazing dance parties are how the Blue Lions have earned their fantastic reputation! We pride ourselves on our high energy, flawless performance–it’s all about great preparation and a genuine love for what we do to ensure you have the best night of your life.
We pride ourselves on knowing just what to play and when to play it. It isn't enough just to fill your dance floor - we want you to love the music! We'll create a set list based on your musical preferences to ensure that every song from the start of the day until you drive away together as a married couple is tailored especially for you. Or, if you prefer, just leave it all up to us.
We offer a unique online planning system which allows you to customise your day-of schedule and playlist–and update it as many times as you like leading up to the wedding. This means more control and less stress.

DJ+Sax Hybrid

Band size can be upgraded at any time!
A three to four piece band is perfect for an intimate soirée or cocktail party where the music's primary purpose is to create a relaxed, conversational ambience. Customise the instruments to fit your vision.
Includes a 3-piece instrumental cocktail band for 45 minutes to 1-hour of music plus set-up (depends on event schedule). This add-on kicks off your event with the perfect amount of sophistication! *Pricing only applies when a band is also included in the booking. Please inquire for specialty musician requests (e.g. harp, string trio) as pricing may vary.
DJ Set (1 Hour) from £230
Includes a 1 hour after-hours DJ set and a DJ during band breaks. This add-on is ideal for large events lasting more than 4 to 5 hours. (Please note that iPod playlists during band breaks are included in all band packages.) *Pricing only applies when a band is also included in the booking.
Basic Lighting from £250
Includes 4 high-powered LED 'Up Lights' along with a lighting tree to elevate the ambience.
Full Production (Premium Sound+Lighting) from £1500
Includes an on-site professional production technician, premium sound support, and full dance floor and band lighting. This is our premium level of sound and lighting support and is recommended for all events with 400+ guests or for large bands of 12+ musicians.

Fantastic atmosphere!
Blue Lion Band made our wedding a total blast. The vibe all night was great with a full dance floor. They played all types of music to suit everybody. We had so many positive comments from our guests about the fantastic atmosphere! Chris responded quickly to messages and communication was easy. Having a band planning page was great where we could add on song requests and comments about the timings of the night. Going to see them play initially was definitely worth it, as we got a feel of what size band and instruments we wanted. We would highly recommend this band for a wedding where the couple wants a full, high energy dance floor taking their celebrations well into the night!!
Just amazing!
They were just amazing! Every song had all our guests dancing! People kept commenting on how great they were. It really was a perfect night. They even played our first dance for us which was so great to have live! I loved having so many different singers as the drummer and guitarist took turns on the mic, as well as the amazing Hayley who blew everyone’s shoes off with her performance of big party hits! The flip flop box was empty as everyone just wanted to carry on dancing. Couldn’t have asked for a better band.
Brilliant to work with
The Blue Lion Band were incredible! Ed was brilliant to work with when planning our day and the music to be played. The sets were energetic and everyone spent the night on the dance floor. The band were perfect. We hired them for our daughters wedding in August and because they were so good we re-hired them for our annual Christmas dinner/dance. 100% would use them again.
Rocked our wedding!
This band absolutely rocked our wedding! They are exceptionally talented, flexible and they know how to keep the dance floor full all night. We had an 8 piece band and the horn section really added to the sound and the repertoire of songs played. Pre-planning with Damien was a breeze, and this meant on our wedding day we knew everything music related was completely under control. The music was one of the most memorable and most commented on aspects of our special day. Thanks guys!

Kept the dance floor packed
Blue Lion played the evening reception of our wedding in Liverpool and we couldn’t have been happier with their performance.
